John de Lancie (born March 20, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a character actor best known for his role as recurring guest star Q on the various Star Trek series. Before his role in Star Trek, first state Lancie played Eugene Bradford on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives from 1982 to 1986.
